The Number 5 and The Hierophant

Uncategorized

The number 5… is the number of change. When we think of the number 5 we can imagine the pentagram symbol. It has 5 points. Each point represents an element…  Fire, earth, water, air and spirit.

5 is also the number of the human senses. Smell, touch, taste, sight and sound.

In numerology, the number 5 is representative of several different life aspects. These include such things as :

Adventure

Opportunities

Inspiration

Progress

Curiosity

Organisation

Intelligence

Lessons

Leader

Communication

Self Discipline.

As we can see, these aspects can be linked in certain ways to Our Hierophant. The card of our spiritual journey, our seeking spiritual enlightenment. Turning to a wise person, a mentor, in whatever shape or form.

5 can prod us into believing that we must not be afraid of trying new things, seeking out new experiences. Its okay to step out of that little square!!

I am a firm believer that without taking the opportunity to learn from those with valuable knowledge and wisdom, how can we ever grow? How can we progress? If we have something worth teaching others, why would we not want to share it??

In essence, 5 can lead to seeking a higher guidance. Through change comes learning. Through learning comes change. Its okay to look up to those who have something to show us that we don’t know. And I have heard quite often that the teacher often learns from the student too.  I know through just being a mother, a very basic example, I learn from my children every single day, as I teach them and guide them. Through the learning from each other, we change and grow. That is as simple as I can make it.  And I can apply EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of this card to that one part of my life alone. Have you ever sat and thought deeply about your life and path and who teaches you, and how you change and grow, or vice versa?

The number 5 also comes into play in the Tarot with the Major Arcana Card ‘Temperance’ And the Minor Arcana cards 5 Of Pentacles, 5 of Wands, 5 of Cups and 5 of Swords. And no doubt as we go along on this journey we will encounter these wonderful life lessons and see what they can show us to help us grow and move forward… 🙂 xo
